The Product R&D Import Export team supports all phases of the drug development process, a critical component to Lilly's mission of delivering life-changing medicines. You will provide technical leadership of a team of associates trained on the execution of global import and export compliance processes. You will navigate the complexities of collaborating with a broad range of groups across the company, including clinical development business customers, logistics, and the U.S. commercial trade compliance associates. •Provide leadership of the Product R&D Import Export Services (IES) program and team of associates, collaborating both with the external industry and internal business units, including the U.S. commercial import export associates, research scientist and associate customers, couriers, Lilly logistics, research and compliance management as needed to continuously improve processes and troubleshoot issues. •Establish a high level of inspection readiness, issue detection and resolution in Lilly’s Product R&D organization, by leveraging knowledge of import/export trade laws in the clinical development business, including detailed knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and PGAs, as well as general knowledge of GATT and the global trade compliance environment. •Leverage knowledge of the development pharmaceutical import/export compliance industry to prioritize risks within the Product R&D trade compliance program, and work with direct and senior management to commission and execute projects using a risk-based approach. •Collaborate with a broad range of areas across the department and company to design and execute innovative, global solutions that increase both compliance and efficiency. •Drive global compliance initiatives and improvements; develop strong partnerships with key partners, particularly customers in the clinical business, and associates in the U.S. corporate import/export team.
