Job Description
Conduct internal and external audits, implement compliance improvement plans or other corrective actions and measure corporate compliance. Develop policies and operating procedures for all aspects of customs compliance including monitoring regulatory and legislative changes. Administer customs training programs to company. Implement and maintain a strong internal control program. Responsible for remaining knowledgeable of, and providing guidance on Export Administration Regulations (EAR), boycott legislation and regulations, US Customs regulations and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. This position must remain updated on any changes to such laws and regulations. Responsible for strategizing, obtaining, and ensuring compliance with import and export authorizations required to support LII's international activities. Assist/lead investigations on export/import violations and prepare documentation if in fact a violation has occurred. Assist in development and implementation of corrective actions. Required to ensure export and import recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met. Responsible for performing self assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory recordkeeping and reporting requirements as well as to assist in any audits conducted by LII’s, outside counsel, or federal agencies. Responsible for issuance of memos or procedures related to export/import authorization approvals obtained, licenses/approvals to expire, changes in US policy or regulation. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations and ensure company policies, purchase agreements, contracts, etc. adequately reflect the requirements of those laws and regulations. Ensure that appropriate Export/Import licenses and/or regulatory exemptions required to support all of the Company's Direct Commercial Sales, customer service & support, contracts and proposals, and foreign accident investigations are obtained and complied with.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 12 years related experience or Master’s Degree with 6+ years experience in international trade compliance.

Comprehensive international trade experience Experience with U.S. export licensing and regulations Experience with U.S. import regulations Experienced in researching and interpreting laws and regulations Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Ability to prioritize and make independent decisions Experienced and comfortable providing training Proactive, well organized, flexible, collaborative, and highly motivated
